Taking Claritin With Zarbee's

Is it safe for my son (5 years old- 62 lbs) to take Children's Claritin Allergy along with Zarbee's Children Cough Syrup Nighttime ? Thank you.
Claritin and Zarbee's cough syrup are safe to take together. There is no interaction between the two medications.
Claritin is a second-generation antihistamine, used for both for the treatment and prevention of seasonal allergy symptoms. Second-generation antihistamines are noted for their long duration of action and their general lack of sedative effects. Claritin specifically will last around 24 hours per dose and is non-drowsy.
Zarbee's Cough Nighttime
Zarbee's makes a variety of natural products to help with cough/cold symptoms. The children's nighttime cough syrup contains the following ingredients:
- Dark honey
- Grapefruit seed extract
Dark honey may help reduce cough and throat irritation. It is a common ingredient in natural medications such as cough syrups and cough drops.
Melatonin is a hormone used to treat insomnia.
Grape seed extract has a variety of uses and is generally thought to help increase absorption of various vitamins and minerals.
None of the above ingredient has any listed or reported interactions with Claritin.
- There are no reported interactions between Claritin (loratadine) and Zarbee's Cough Nighttime. They are considered safe to take together.
