There is no drug interaction between Gas-X and Benadryl. These drugs may be taken safely together.

Gas-X

Gas-X is the brand name of a drug called simethicone which is used for the relief of uncomfortable digestive pressure, gas, and bloating. Gas-X has a local effect in your body which means it stays in the digestive tract and is not further absorbed. This is beneficial for its main effect in decreasing digestive gas and also means it is less likely to have drug interactions. It can cause mild diarrhea due to the nature of how it works and because it remains in your digestive system.

Benadryl

Benadryl is a first-generation antihistamine and contains the active ingredient diphenhydramine. It is beneficial for the treatment of allergic reactions, allergies, motion sickness and is also used to treat insomnia due to its sedative effects.

Summary

  • Benadryl and Gas-X may safely be taken together.
