Dotty44 asked

I take the following medications: levothyroxine and rabeprazole in the morning. In the evening, I take lovastatin and fluoxetine. In between, I take calcium pills and a multivitamin. Is there any order in which I should take these medications?

Answer

Per your question, you seem to be taking all your medications at the appropriate times.

Levothyroxine: Should generally be taken in the morning with a full glass of water, about 30 minutes before food and drink (besides water). Taking levothyroxine with food or other medications can significantly decrease the absorption of the drug.

Aciphex (Rabeprazole): Should be taken in the morning 60 minutes before food.

Lovastatin: Should be taken at bedtime for optimal effects.

Prozac (fluoxetine): There is no specific recommendation in regard to administration time. Generally, the initial daily dose is given in the morning. However, as many individuals experience sedation on the medication, it can safely be given at night.
